About You

You’re a big-picture thinker who can also get down in the details. You own a video strategy—you drive initiatives through relentless advocacy and are “all in” on helping to develop, influence, and measure execution. You have 5+ years in the field, including experience collaborating with product and marketing leaders to implement video.

You’re comfortable driving at any level: from video creator to project manager. You have experience in all aspects of video production. You’re able to jump in on editing task, for example, if needed, and you’re able to delegate it all from start to finish. You have 2+ years of experience managing an outsourced video budget.

You’re well-versed in video distribution, from YouTube to new channels. You have 2+ years of YouTube strategy experience, including SEO, and you constantly learn about and test new video platforms and formats to reach your audience.

You’re data-driven, eager to show how video contributes to marketing goals. You have a history of independently using marketing data to make strategic video decisions, report performance, and earn stakeholder buy-in.

You’re a coach to other video practitioners. You have a track record of developing video skills and helping to grow the video careers of others.

You’re an excellent written communicator. You can clearly state in writing the “why” behind your strategy, the most recent quarter’s results, or the upcoming delegated tasks. We’re a 100% remote team and writing is our primary means of communication at Zapier. 

You’re exceptional at time management. You juggle a variety of fast-moving video projects, and as a part of a distributed team, you’ll be trusted to work with minimal supervision. Things You’ll Do

  • Set the video vision and strategy
  • Build video programs and in-house services, including the growth of our YouTube channel, product education videos, and case study videos
  • Oversee day-to-day video production schedules and projects
  • Manage in-house video staff, budgets, and outsourced video work, including agencies
  • Create and enforce video style guidelines in alignment with brand guidelines
  • Create a video template and asset library that increase production speed
  • Partner with data analysts on video measurement
  • Produce original videos from planning, scriptwriting, graphics, and editing
  • Travel 5% – 10% for company retreats that rotate to various cities throughout North America
  • As a part of our All Hands Support initiative, help customers have the best possible experience with Zapier

Our team of 250+ is distributed because it lets us work with the best people. You don’t have to be located in the USA either. Some team members live in the United Kingdom, Thailand, India, Nigeria, Taiwan, Guatemala, New Zealand, and Australia. You just need the skills and drive to succeed in this role and the ability to work from anywhere.
